The Alp occurrence is located south of Fulton Lake, 16 kilometres west of Topley Landing.
An Upper Cretaceous granodioritic stock intrudes Lower Jurassic Hazelton Group volcanics of the Telkwa Formation. The volcanics consist of massive maroon to green andesite, andesitic flows, tuff and breccia. Mineralization consists of minor disseminated chalcopyrite in the Hazelton Group rocks.
In 1970, the Alp group totalling 379 claims was held by Nippon Mining of Canada Ltd. Work included reconnaissance geological mapping and a geochemical soil survey (1032 samples) covering all claims.
In 2012, an aeromagnetic program was conducted over the Flute and Lennac properties by Riverside Resources (BC) Inc. The total covered area was 813 square kilometres and the total survey line coverage was 4444 line kilometres (Assessment Reports 33032, 33707F). The Alp occurrence area was covered by this survey.
